Accel Lifestyle CEO One of Just 40 Entrepreneurs Selected for Inc. Magazine’s Founders Project

Megan Eddings to glean nuggets of wisdom from mentor and self-made billionaire Tilman Fertitta

HOUSTON, Texas  (November 12, 2019) –   As Accel Lifestyle Founder and CEO Megan Eddings looks to grow her ethical activewear brand, she’ll be doing it with the help of mentor Tilman Fertitta - renowned owner of over 500 restaurants, the Houston Rockets and Golden Nugget Casinos, not to mention star of the television show “Billion Dollar Buyer.”

Eddings was recently selected as one of 40 entrepreneurs from across the US to participate in Inc. Magazine’s Founders Project in which star entrepreneurs - like Tilman, Shark Tank’s Daymond John, Drybar’s Alli Webb and MailChimp’s Ben Chestnut - will serve as mentors to those just beginning their ventures. As part of the project, Tilman will serve as Eddings’ mentor, providing her with advice and guidance.

I feel honored and elated to have been chosen for Inc. Magazine’s Founders Project. I am so appreciative that I was selected as one of only 40 founders from across the US and I greatly value Inc.’s guidance and pairing me with a baller mentor,” Eddings said.

Eddings launched Accel Lifestyle this year. Using proprietary Prema® fabric that she herself developed in a lab, the line - with its antimicrobial properties - is more than just fitness apparel. It is ideal for many other applications and settings - from hospital garments for patients to shirts for chefs and waitstaff in the restaurant business.

Eddings said Fertitta has already provided guidance as she looks to pitch Accel’s line of anti-stink, antimicrobial activewear to major retailers.

“Being a relatively new entrepreneur, having Tilman Fertitta as my mentor has already been so incredible,” Eddings said. “He has given me invaluable advice related to retail, scaling, and the profound importance of focusing on every single detail. I look forward to continuing our relationship and learning from one of the best.”

“It is an incredible feeling to be featured in November’s issue of Inc. Magazine. I will be forever grateful for this honor and I hope to inspire other entrepreneurs to work hard, be kind and not give up.”
